OPERATIONS
& MAINTENANCE
A maintenance management philosophy emerged through the Cooltime
experience of implementing better reliability practices in many
locations from North Sea Oil & Gas Assets to offshore and onshore
of West Africa. The philosophy is based on common sense and basic
maintenance asset management principles that has the main objective
of improving and maintaining plant integrity. We call this philosophy
the Cooltime Operations & Maintenance programme (COMP). The COMP
reliability basics are similar to any other parallel philosophies,
such as Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM), TPM, TQM and reliability
engineering.
Maintenance Planning and
Scheduling of work orders is the hub of a functioning maintenance
organisation. In order for maintenance planning and scheduling to
be successful many other systems need to be operational. Most importantly
equipment inspections/surveys, current plant integrity status, preventive
maintenance programmes, integrity of technical database’s such
as Asset Registers, bill of materials, work order history, and standard
job plans. Maintenance spare part stores and supply chain are also
important and need to be well managed to reduce cost of inventory
without sacrificing availability and equipment uptimes.
Cooltime can help your plant
to get organised by surveying and providing plant integrity "Gap
Analysis" and implementing backlog and preventative maintenance
scheduling best practices. We would start ensuring basics are in
place such as good backlog practices, an effective prioritisation
system, proficient planning practices, and a functioning scheduling
system between operations and maintenance.
Cooltime manufacture a wide
range of high quality, packaged air-conditioning units from a modern
factory in Aberdeen. Units can be built to Cooltime standard model
configuration or tailor made to suit the customer's project requirement
and specification.
Over the years Cooltime
have been very successful in many projects with installation, commissioning
and maintenance of proprietary and/or Cooltime quality products.
Our personnel undergo a planned step-by-step training programme to
ensure competency prior to working offshore. This competency is
based upon intimate knowledge of Cooltime products gained in the
manufacturing element of the training programme.
Operating from fully equipped
workshops at our Aberdeen facility, we also provide a rapid response
installation service.
The combination of 14 years
design and manufacturing experience and an accredited quality management
system to BS EN ISO 9001:2000, ensures that the high quality of
workmanship is sustained throughout the product build processes.
